zLink’s state-of-the-art zLinkFM platform will facilitate the management of a broad set of assets in a common environment. The new system will integrate – facilities, parks and roads, fleet management, space management, maintenance, projects, work orders, facility condition assessment, and capital planning information in a single application. The system will cover the Agency’s 700,000 square feet of buildings, 58 parks, and 500 miles of roads.
The new System provides Fairbanks North Star Borough with a CAD drawing-centric facilities information and GIS-centric parks and pavement information to track, record, and streamline asset operations in one integrated system.
The Fairbanks North Star Borough is located in the state of Alaska. The borough has a total area of 7,444 square miles of the Tanana River Valley in the interior region of Alaska, of which 7,338 square miles is land and 105 square miles is water. The FNSB population is approximately 97,970. Two first-class cities are located within the Borough’s boundaries: Fairbanks and North Pole. FNSB has approximately 700,000 square feet of buildings, 58 parks / playgrounds, and 500 miles of roads. There are 1,450 roads with 103 road service areas.
